Street Addresses

The Edge Theater is comprised of two performance spaces: The Edge Theater, our original performance space, located at 5451 N Broadway St., Chicago, IL 60640 and The Edge Off Broadway, our black box that opened in January 2019, located at 1133 W Catalpa Ave, just steps away from The Edge Theater’s entrance.

Taking the train? 
Bryn Mawr Red Line stop: Walk west to N Broadway and turn left onto N Broadway. Stay on Broadway for about just over a block to get to The Edge Theater and if you’re heading to The Edge Off Broadway, after turning onto Broadway and walking for about a block, turn East/ left onto Catalpa Ave.
Berwyn Red Line stop: Walk west to N Broadway and turn North/ right onto N Broadway. Head North on Broadway for 2 blocks to the theater and if you’re heading to The Edge Off Broadway, continue a little bit further on Broadway and turn East/ right onto Catalpa Ave.

Taking the bus? 
36 Broadway: Running North and South, The Edge Theater and The Edge Off Broadway are right off of the Broadway & Catalpa stops.
84 Bryn Mawr: Running East and West, the Bryn Mawr & Broadway stop is about 4 minutes away from the The Edge Theater and The Edge Off Broadway.
136, 147, 151: Running North and South, you can take these buses to the Sheridan & Catalpa stop- about 6 minutes from The Edge Theater and The Edge Off Broadway.

Riding Your Bike

What to do with your bike: There's a sturdy Edgewater bike rack right in front of The Edge Theater!
Riding a Divvy Bike? The nearest Divvy Bike stations are at Ridge & Bryn Mawr and Berwyn & Broadway- each about 4 minutes walking distance from The Edge Theater!

Taxis & Ridesharing Services

Please don’t forget that in addition to biking and using the CTA, you can also use a ridesharing service like Lyft or Uber (available on Android & iOS). PLUS the city boasts a number a taxi companies!


Metered Parking

There is metered parking along Broadway at a rate of $2/ hour with a 2-hour maximum time limit.   As an alternative to directly feeding the meter, you can use the ParkChicago app for iOS and Android to pay and refill your parking meter from your phone.

Street Parking

There is neighborhood parking if no metered parking is available.
